A book box for the saints, the sinners, the wanderers, the spiritually fluid, and the religiously curious.
At Pour Into It Media, we believe that stories, much like people, don’t have to be pristine to be powerful. Pattern Breakers was created for those of us reshaping our beliefs, identities, and traditions beyond what we were raised in. This is a collection of pre-loved, recycled library books that have been intentionally curated to reflect themes of ancestral narratives, cultural practices, mythology, folklore, fantasy, and the breaking of generational cycles. In the spirit of transparency, please note that these are used books. Some are former library copies that still include their library tags; others have soft-creased covers or slight wear.
Choose Your Mystery
We’ve wrapped each book to keep its identity a secret, leaving you only with a riddle to guide your choice.

The Archive Riddles
Archive No. 1: I am the Queen of the New Orleans street; I have the world bowing down at my feet. My power is ancient, my legend is tall; I am the one who answers the call.
Archive No. 2: I am an island where the bridge ends and the spirit begins. I heal with roots and lead with light; my power is ancient, my word is might.
Archive No. 3: I am a fairy tale flipped on its head, where the fairest of all isn't who you’d have said. I am a mirror that catches the lie, a skin-deep illusion you cannot deny. What am I?
Archive No. 4: I speak with a tongue of silver and gold, but my heart is a story that hasn't been told. I climb toward the sun, but I'm rooted in clay; I am the preacher who went astray.
Archive No. 5: A flicker of light, a generational curse; I make the love in your heart feel like a hearse. We live in a home where the wax never dries; stay away from our hearts if you value your eyes.
Archive No. 6: I am the wind before the rain, the strength found inside of pain. I have twelve days to prepare for the flood; I am bound by water, but defined by blood.
Archive No. 7: We are two halves of a single soul, but one of us chose a different role. I wear a mask that the world believes; I am the secret that the mirror perceives.
Archive No. 8: I am born with a veil, a skin of gold; I am the luck that can be bought and sold. I heal the rich while my own people bleed; I am the supply for a desperate greed.
Archive No. 9: I know the leaf that heals the skin, and the spell that hides the sin. I am the shadow in the master’s yard; my hands are soft, but my spirit is hard.
Archive No. 10: I move through the world with a cinematic stride; I have the spirits of the woods on my side. From the Georgia swamp to the city of light, I turn the world’s stage into my fight.
Archive No. 11: A thunderous voice shaking the rafters of a rural Alabama church, followed by a quiet midnight escape down a dark dirt road. It’s the intoxicating power of a silver tongue that can command a congregation on Sunday morning but breaks every vow by Saturday night.
Archive No. 12: I left a palace to find a bush on fire; I traded a crown for a people’s desire. I lead with a staff through a parted sea; I am the legend that set the captives free.
Whether you are a church kid that's now deconstructing, someone exploring magic and cultural practices for the first time, or simply a bookworm who loves picking up a new read, these stories are meant to be poured into.
We hope these stories find exactly who they are meant for.
